Reis Gida launches 'Recycling and Transformation to Nature' initiative

Reis aims to secure the future of our planet by promoting environmental sustainability at both local and global level. With the increase in global environmental problems, Reis Gida continues to work for an environmentally friendly future by offering effective solutions in areas such as waste management, energy saving and sustainable resource use.

In addition to having the Zero Waste Certificate since 2019, Reis Gida attaches importance to the goal of reducing food loss and waste at the global level by participating in the 10x20x30 "Initiative to Combat Food Loss and Waste" carried out by the World Resources Institute (WRI). Together with these efforts, it includes a commitment to reduce food loss and waste by half by 2030 and aims to contribute to the protection of natural resources and the fight against climate change.

Reis Gida contributes to environmental sustainability through various initiatives such as reducing carbon emissions, achieving zero waste targets and using environmentally friendly packaging materials to reduce its environmental footprint. Reis Gida, which meticulously monitors every stage of production, aims to make its products carbon neutral in all processes from the field to the table. In addition, the "Recycle, Return to Nature" initiative is supported by training programmes and aims to increase the awareness of sustainability and make individuals more conscious consumers and farmers more conscious producers.

Isilay Reis Yorgun, Member of the Board of Directors of Reis Gida, said: "A sustainable future cannot be achieved by the efforts of only one organisation. Our 'Recycle, Recycle to Nature' initiative is an important step in this direction and we would like to see all our stakeholders with us on this path."
