Fruttagel is an Italian agricultural cooperative company founded in 1994, specialized in the industrial processing of fresh fruit and vegetables, tomatoes, cereals, and legumes from integrated and organic farming into finished products; intended for retail operators, food service, door-to-door, and the food industry.
Fruttagel's business units are: frozen vegetables; nectars, juices and fruit beverages, plant-based beverages and tomato derivatives. In addition to private label, the company also markets its finished products through its main brands: Almaverde Bio, Sucor and Il Giardino dei Sapori. The first is an organic brand and the others are conventional.
The company brings together 12 italian agricultural cooperatives from the Emilia-Romagna and Molise regions and other financial partners. These cooperatives, in turn, bring together hundreds of growers. Fruttagel relies on 2 production establishments, 823 employees — 70% of whom are women — and five storage warehouses, including two automated.
