This unique product, is 100% environmentally friendly, since it is produced from plant based renewable raw materials and can be home composted to be used as fertilizer.
Coffeeway home compostable flavoured espresso capsules, offer a range of product benefits that meet the growing demand for sustainable (rather than just recyclable) products, by the environmentally conscious consumers.
100% biobased (certified by TUV)
Capsules are made from renewable raw materials, of vegetal origin (biomass), and do not contain PLA, aluminum or mineral plastic. Their production is the result of a microbial fermentation process, in which vegetable oils and their fatty acids are used as raw material to create biopolymer, instead of using conventional plastic.
100% home compostable (certified by TUV)
Unlike aluminum capsules that require special treatment for recycling, home compostable capsules turn into compost 26 weeks after their use, in a home compost bin. Moreover, they are more environmentally friendly compared to industrial compostable capsules, which require industrial-scale composting facilities.
High oxygen barrier
The material of the home compostable capsules offers high oxygen barrier, thus protecting the aromas of the coffee and ensuring an excellent result in the cup. In addition, this particular type of capsule is fully compatible with Nespresso®* system coffee machines.

· 100% Arabica: Excellent quality espresso with unique taste. Fine varieties of 100% Arabica coffee, uniquely combined in a blend with balanced taste and fine aroma.
· Intense Ristretto: The most popular espresso. A blend of excellent Arabica and Robusta varieties, for a creamy espresso with full body, strong, intense taste and earthy aromas.
· Decaf Water Processed: Decaffeinated espresso of 100% Arabica coffee blend. Caffeine has been removed with water to preserve the excellent taste characteristics of the coffee. A decaf without compromise in taste!
