From FoieGood we are really proud to announce that, predictably, we are going to obtain “The Certification Welfair”, the animal welfare certification.
This is a Spanish certificate that IRTA (Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology) and NEIKER (Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development) gives after a long process of visits, in which they observe the progress and behaviour of the animal, and a deep research to find the best way of rearing them, all this study is based in European Standards Welfare Quality and AWIN protocols.
Through this seal we will demonstrate the well-being of our ducks, being the first ones to obtaining it for ducks with fatty livers, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare because, as result of years of an intense R&D activity, our ducks get fatty livers while being rear outdoors, with space to roam freely and without using force feeding methods or cages.
