„The Elements” Bakery chain makes its debut in Warsaw!

The Zajezierski bakers family is going back to its roots and launching its own chain of bakeries. Since November 2022, a new meeting place awaits Warsaw residents, with bread playing a key role in the menu. “The Elements” Bakery combines crisp, fresh bread with a wide range of breakfast and evening offers followed by original drinks. The next step is developing the chain in and around Warsaw.

“The Elements” Bakery – a place full of passion and taste

The new concept is a combination of a traditional bakery with a bistro section in a spacious space of the iconic Dom Towarowy of the Jabłkowski Brothers at 19 Chmielna St. A cosy interior with an original character and full of greenery can already be admired from the street through a large glass window. From 7:00 A.M. until late evening, customers can take advantage of the shop’s wide range of products. A see-through baking space is the heart of the place, where the visitors can watch the bakers bake warm and crusty bread, as well as buttery challahs and croissants on the fly.

“’The Elements’ is a combination of the four elements necessary to bake natural, tasty bread: flour, which is the fruit of the earth, water, fire, thanks to which we bake bread, and air, which plays an important role in the fermentation of bread and carries smell of the crusty loaf. The name of the place also reflects the character of our team, where each of us is different, full of energy and amazing ideas, but together we form a really harmonious crew, for whom the love for bread and good food is a common denominator”, explains Karolina Zajezierska, a representative of the Zajezierski bakery family.

“The Elements” Bakery at 19 Chmielna St. also offers a spacious restaurant area where lovers of food and good wine can feast until late evening. There is a lot of breakfast offerings and evening dishes, where different variations of bread add colour to the meals. Following the latest trends, the menu is largely based on the concept of eating together and sharing meals. This is complemented by unique dessert offerings and original drinks, which are the interpretation of the elements.

“We have created a place full of passion and love for bread. Our team are true bread lovers who, when meeting food lovers, want to share it, hence the idea of dishes to share. We combine traditional flavours with unobvious ingredients and serve good wine and original cocktails to show guests that we not only know how to bake bread, but we can also combine it with running a quality restaurant. Additionally, we put a lot of emphasis on the interior to make our guests feel fantastic, so we opted for wood, warm colours and lots of greenery, and decorated the walls with expressionist paintings by Olena Horhol”, adds Karolina Zajezierska.

Scalable business – Zajezierski family bakery chain

The restaurant at 19 Chmielna St. is the first and unique format, combining a bakery with an expanded bistro area. The Zajezierski family plans to develop the chain in and around Warsaw. In December 2022, the company opened a second, smaller format of “The Elements” Bakery, where customers are able to take advantage of an extensive culinary and shop offer.

“’The Elements’ Bakery at 19 Chmielna St. is the heart of our network: the most extensive format in terms of gastronomy. Subsequently, we will be launching smaller places closer to our customers, focused mainly on fast service and sale of high-quality takeaway food. In the deli and bistro format, we will offer what we have specialised in for almost 100 years, i.e. the best quality bread, as well as snacks, sandwiches and coffee from an original coffee blend”, explains Karolina Zajezierska.

With bread for four generations

The Zajezierski family are descendants of Antoni Nowakowski, who opened a small local bakery in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki almost 100 years ago, supplying fresh bread to local residents. After years of development, the family owned NOWEL bakery is returning to its roots and opening its first catering establishment. The new concept is mainly based on a traditional, simple recipe, high-quality ingredients and a long-standing love for bread, passed down from generation to generation.

“’The Elements’ is a combination of our traditional family recipe handed down for four generations and a modern approach to bread. For almost a century, our family has focused on making bread: a basic product in homes of almost all Poles. We remain faithful to our recipes, adding interesting, sometimes surprising additions and flavours, a pinch of family atmosphere and a great deal of positive energy. We create a place with an atmosphere that attracts with its aroma and taste, allowing you to feel at home”, adds Karolina Zajezierska.
