Majani 1796 S.p.A. is the oldest chocolate producer in Italy, based in Bologna. For more than 220 years and 7 generations, it has been making its specialty from raw cocoa beans: from bean to bar.
Scorza is one of the specialties of Majani and its first recipe dates back to 1832, when in Italy chocolate was known exclusively as a drink. Today the new technologies faithfully reproduce the ancient process that the Majani’s chocolatiers are handed down from generation to generation. The accuracy in the choice of cocoa to mix and the skill in processing, give Scorza the characteristic crumbly texture and the classic unmistakable aroma.
In 2023 Majani revisit Scorza proposing a new version flavored with citrus fruits. Dark chocolate’s aroma balance perfectly the acidity of citrus fruits, creating an extraordinary combination.
