Pinsami, the Italian company that has turned pinsa into a trendy and successful phenomenon on the food scene, is exhibiting at Anuga for the first time in order to conquer an international audience and become a reference point for quality Italian pinsa.
The company, which specialises in the production of pinsa crusts with a strong artisanal imprint, has managed, in just a few years, to open up and take off a new market segment, but above all to win the loyalty of consumers thanks to the unique and distinctive features of pinsa that make it an excellent, if not better, alternative to classic pizza.
This is confirmed by the market data: pinsa is a market segment that is value EUR 44.7 million and continues to record double-digit growth rates, touching +40% compared to the previous year. Pinsami, with its 26% share, holds the market leadership (source: Nielsen AT data from 31/12/22).
This extraordinary growth did not go unnoticed by the Financial Times, which, again in 2023 and for the second year running, elected Pinsami as one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe in its "FT 1000 - Europe´s Fastest Growing Companies" ranking.
Moreover, the great dynamism that animates the company is also witnessed by the opening of a new factory in Reggio Emilia, that will double its production capacity and represent an important turning point in terms of both product and process innovation, service and growth strategy.
The most appreciated item in the retail market is the oval crust. But Pinsami has embraced the new challenges of the market and the trends that show a growing acceptance of reduced formats and single-portion packs.
Pinsami has met also the needs of restaurants, pubs and pizzerias by proposing a range of options: oval, round and maxi, but also the single-portion pinsa, designed for on-the-go consumption, perfect for premises offering quick lunches and snacks but also for those who want to include original desserts in the menu using a convenient ready-to-drink base.
